The Club Christmas Party 2023

The fun started as folks walked through the door! Thanks to the radiator shell provided by Ron Taylor, everyone got their picture taken with a different sort of view. Here's lookin' at you kid.
And what a turnout for the festivities! About a third of the club attended the Christmas party hosted once again at the lovely and accommodating Georgetown Chamber of Commerce Event Center.
In addition to the organization of the party, Fredrick and Sandee Khoury provided us not only with another wonderful Christmas party, but dinner as well. Chicken Fettuccini with breadsticks and salad was on the menu for the evening…Yumbo! I was not the only one that went back for seconds.
Some socializing, some eating, some more socializing…and then onto the present giveaways. Just about half of everyone there that evening walked away with a door prize of some sort. My cocoa is long gone, but the nifty Christmas mug remains. Thanks again to Sandee and Fredrick for putting that together.
Next up was the gift exchange. If you brought one, you got one! Our gratitude goes to Laurie Taylor for organizing and conducting the exchange. Many of us, including this forgetful scribe, had to be reminded what our own number was!!
In quick order all the gifts were distributed and then on Laurie's signal, were all opened at the same time. Thoughtful and well-received gifts were shared among friends this night thus rounding out the gift-giving and receiving.
Next year's co-presidents Cheryl and Joe, presented Fredrick with an outgoing president's gift formally thanking him for a year's worth of his valuable time and efforts to support and operate the Lone Star Model A Ford Club of Georgetown. Sandee, we graciously thank you too!
Soon after, the party started to shut down. Several savvy shoppers sauntered to the serving table to get some spoonful's of the satisfying leftover Chicken Fettuccini.
"Many hands make light work"… Thank you to the many hands that spent just a few extra minutes afterwards to help put the place back the way we found it!
In the Spirit of the Club, and in the Spirit of the season, Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

Excelsior,
Walter

Cheryl and Joe thank Fredrick for his excellent work as president and presented a gift basket.
