Max Phillips Celebration of Life
April 10, 2022
Georgetown Sheraton

Max Phillips: A life remembered with celebration rather than sorrow...and so was set the tone for the afternoon. A beautiful Sunday, the tenth of April saw nearly 75 people gathered in fellowship at the Georgetown Sheraton to remember Max Philips. The impressive turnout included more than a dozen family members and the rest mostly LSMAFC club members.

The Sheraton was kind enough to reserve all the parking at the entrance for Model A's. A grand turnout filled every available space with beautiful Model A's. Maggie, Max and Rebecca's long-time ride was driven there by her new owners, Benny and Debbie Parker.

The food and fellowship were not only great but in great abundance. Max's wife Rebecca Ann Jordan had many of his puzzles, neat rocks, hats, and other mementos at each table that sparked good memories and an appreciation of our fellow friend. Rebecca's brother Peter took the podium and briefly eulogized Max in story form and then invited folks to relate a story of their own. Several people took him up on his offer and many of us learned something new and endearing about Max Philips.

We had Maggie from Sep 1995 to Dec 2021. We toured a lot around Texas, but we also drove her on tours to Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and New Mexico. We towed her to the Grand Tetons then drove her touring Yellowstone. Many happy tours and Max always got me home.
