Tires You can now get radial tires for your Model A, but should you. Radial tires give a smoother ride at higher speeds. They give better millage and have less wear. One study found over 250 incidents in which tires older than six years have experienced tread and belt separations- most resulting in loss-of-control and rollover crashes. Bias tires are more adept at handling off road or wet road conditions. They are best at low speeds. If left to long, they can flat spot.
