Our view of the 18th green
We had fewer visitors because Lakeway does a shotgun start where
Onion Creek has everyone finish on the 18th green.
Mis-Adventure
On 620, on the east side of Mansfield Dam, the belt in Ron's car broke.
A belt was probably the only part that Ron did not have on hand.
Trying to find the correct belt became a huge challenge. After several phone calls, traveling back and forth on 620, parts stores saying they had it but once we would arrive, it wasn't the correct one, we finally found one up in Round Rock. Our crew in the Suburban took off to fetch the part.
We got back to Ron at about 5:00. He had it fixed in 20 minutes and we were finally back on our way.
After I told everyone that this would be a shorter tour than Onion Creek, we still ended up getting home at about 8:30pm. |
