The Texas Tour
to Glen Rose

This year's Texas Tour was held in Glen Rose, Texas. We heard estimates of some 400 attendees and over 150 model As. It was some sight to see all the model As at the Convention Center as well as filling up the parking lots of the local hotels.

Thursday Night meet and greet dinner at the Glen Rose Convention Center.
Joanne Caldarola, Paul Ranney, Joy Morrison, Cheryl Tatro, Joe Hocker

More from Thursday nite
Joyce & Ken Smith, John & Linda Sullivan, and Jim Ferguson

Friday tour to Hico

It was quite the sight to see all the Model As lining the main street in Hico.

The Hico store fronts looked right at home with the cars

Saturday's Grand tour to Meridian Texas where we had a great lunch at the Meridian Civic Center

Cars arrived in groups that were spaced out, which was a good thing, otherwise there were so many they all wouldn't have fit in the parking lot.

The Fort Worth club did a fantastic job of decorating the Civic Center for the Grand Banquet. They did a super job of running the whole event. It was so well organized in my opinion. This was our first tour and we were impressed with the amount of work that must have gone into organizing and executing such an event.

What can I say - "waiting for the dinner bell"

They apparently know something the other table doesn't.
Jim Ferguson, Max Phillips, Rebecca Jordan, Gail Phillips Barnes & Kent Barns.
Gail is Max's little sister. Kent and Max received a second place award for one of the car games.

Wait, they're announcing awards.

Then they asked for the oldest drivers to stand and as they increased the years, one by one others sat down, till our own Paul Ranney was the last man standing. Paul sprinted up to the stage to receive his recognition as the oldest driver in attendance. Congratulations Paul.
