James Taylor was the coordinator for the Texas Tour.
For the Most "Body" Miles Award, there was another guy who is 91 and won it last year. They were going to give it to him, but Al Bohn was having a fit because Paul is going to be 92 in August. So I said "Al, get up there and tell them" and that's when James Taylor told that guy, "good news, you're not the oldest guy here," and they gave it to Paul. |
Totally surprised, Claude won the People's Choice Award for Most "Original" Car.
A stop in Llano
There was a group of Jeeps already there. A few of their drivers were very
excited when we drove in and parked.
There were more of us than them.
Crossing the Llano River on the way home.
The Llano river crossing was the one that was flooded, and we couldn't cross back on the Mystery Tour of 2016. We finally were able to get the pictures we wanted. On Facebook, that location is called the Slab Swimming Hole because it's usually crowded with people swimming. There was only one family out there on Sunday morning, but it was early. |
The last stop was at the purple house in Marble Falls.
Double parked by the purple cow
When we saw this house and cow a couple of weeks ago, we knew we wanted to get pictures with the A's. We had lunch at the Bluebonnet Cafe and then drove 2 blocks over to that house for pictures. |
