The Texas Tour
Thursday, June 15th

By Laurie Taylor

The Texas Tour over to Huntsville, the home of Sam Houston, was awesome.
Ashley Taylor led the tour over to Huntsville with passengers, Laurie and Madisyn in the Kaucasion Krakken while towing a two wheel dolly for "just in case".
The followers, in their Model A's were John Sullivan, Scarecrow Willis and Ron Taylor bringing up the rear.
Our first, unplanned pit-stop was at the Hot Rod Garage in Thorndale.
We made it to Caldwell for a nice buffet lunch at the Homestead Cafe. This is where Joe Hocker and Cheryl Tatro (towing their A) joined us.
Upon our last pit-stop in College Station, Jim Ferguson and Dave & Lynn Casey caught up with us. Both were towing their A's.
All of us were scattered among three different hotels but that didn't stop us from gathering and having a great time.
Ron, Laurie, Cheryl and Elizabeth (Cheryl's granddaughter) participated in the Friday Dinner Fashion Walk.
Dave and Lynn participated in the car games and won third place in all three games.
The Grand Tour was 95 miles and ended with lunch at the H.E.A.R.T.S . Veterans Museum,
The heat was excessive but it sure did not stop us from having a fabulous time.
The 61st Texas Tour is going to be in Nacogdoches. June 13 - 16, 2024
