Craig's List would be another source.
We frequently get e-mails from people who want to buy, sell, or price
a Model A Ford. While we would like to help everyone, forgive us for not
wanting to get in the business of maintaining a clearing house for cars.
There are Web sites out there that do just that. Plus, we can not give
any kind of estimate without looking at the car. Sorry.
If you want to buy, sell, or price a Model A Ford, there are several
things you can do:
- Join an international Model A Ford club. They produce
wonderful magazines which have ads in the back to buy and sell cars.
Check out these two sites:
Model
A Ford Club of America - MAFCA
Model A Restorer's Club - MARC
- Join a local Model A Ford club chapter. Here is where the
local enthusiasts gather. The chapter usually produces a newsletter
which may have "Buy, Sell, or Trade" ads. Mail us a
Membership
Form.
- Attend "Swap Meets" - that is where we found our 1928
Model A Ford Tudor Sedan.
Links page for various clubs, dealers, parts catalogs.
- Surf the Web. There are are new sites cropping up all the
time that will list someone's car for sale or auction. It might be a
commercial site or a club site that won't charge you a penny. Read
the fine print.
- Some people have good luck simply by putting a "For Sale" ad in
their local paper. There are lots of people out there who do not
know that our clubs exist, but they do read the paper.
